Camp Curiosity is looking for energetic and team-oriented Jr. Camp Counselors to join our team for the 2025 season. The role of Jr. Camp Counselors is to provide a fun, safe and memorable experience for the campers. They will be responsible for the safety and well-being of the campers with the assistance and guidance of the Curiosity Leadership and Camp Counselors. Jr. Camp Counselors will work closely with Camp Counselors to ensure the group attends and actively participates in the variety of camp activities.Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; Shifts determined upon hire.ResponsibilitiesAssist Camp Counselors in camp groups with children ranging in age from 6-12. All groups are divided by age with appropriate ratios. Help the assigned group move between activities based on his/her group's assigned weekly schedule. Assist in organizing and leading a variety of small and large group activities each week.  Activities may include crafts, nature, songs, games.Work together with Camp Director, Assistant Director, Camp Supervisor, and co-Counselors to engage campers and maintain a positive, fun environment.Actively participate in all camp activities, including swimming and special events/guests. Identify and report camper behavior issues to counselors.Ensure that the site is kept clean, sanitized, organized, and free of litter.Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program.Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas, including but not limited to being responsible for your campers’ safety and their whereabouts at all times.Be flexible and fill in where needed. Qualities Energetic, flexible, and passionate about providing a safe, unique, and memorable camp experience.A team player.Have a great attitude!
